Biogenial is a small but very interesting manufacturer. Many of the products, such as fish gelatine or mineral-enriched algae, are either unique or, if there is a similar product from another manufacturer, it is not available in the same quality by a very wide margin.
Clarification Biogenial - Vitagenial
The organic regulation states that products may not bear the word organic on the label in any way if they are not organic. However, this regulation was only created in 2007. Manufacturers who had already been using the word "organic" on their labelling before then were granted an exemption to continue doing so during a transitional period. This only applied to the "Biogenial" logo, which was emblazoned on every can. A fantasy term that was never intended to pretend that the product was organic!
This period is now over. Biogenial therefore had to change its trade mark from Biogenial to Vitagenial. This word may also appear on the cans. The company itself is still called Biogenial, because this is not prohibited, only the printing of the word bio on the products.
For customers, this simply means that the cans now say Vitagenial instead of Biogenial - nothing else changes!
