Sense and nonsense of saving paper...
We like to protect the environment - but without greenwashing!

We are of course absolutely in favour of environmental protection, if only because we are a shop for natural products!
That's why a few weeks ago we set up the option to check whether you want paperless shipping, i.e. without invoice and advertising.
The result was that about 90 % of our customers want this!
That's great at first, but there were also problems: We have to enclose something with the parcels to document the contents, e.g. if the DHL label is damaged. This is also necessary in the daily routine, e.g. when I print out a stack of orders for my employee, which she packs, somehow she has to know which customer gets which goods.
So I printed out a delivery note for that purpose. The same sheet of paper I would otherwise have used for the invoice. And since the invoice at least has a much higher legal value, a completely nonsensical process!
This is also called greenwashing, pretending to be environmentally friendly, which in fact is not the case. We want to avoid that, of course.
That's why we are now changing the procedure again, so that 1. the environment is burdened as little as possible and 2. if we have to use paper, it is at least done with sense and reason.
This makes more sense and saves all customers another annoying checkout box to read and tick off, plus it still reduces the advertising ballast by a few percent compared to the past.
