EnergyBalance Zinc has a high zinc content, is easily soluble in water and is better absorbed by the body as citrate.
This new product from Energybalance contains only 5 mg zinc per capsule and is therefore much easier to dose than the Energybalance classic Zinc 25mg. Many people also take other supplements such as multivitamin capsules. As these often also contain zinc, overdosing can otherwise easily occur.
Zinc is not such a "harmless" micronutrient as calcium, for example, which you can easily take a little more of. Given that zinc is very effective and absolutely vital, the maximum dose above which harmful effects can occur is reached relatively quickly.
For this reason, zinc should only be taken after careful consideration and ideally in consultation with a naturopath, nutritional therapist or doctor.
