The wild yam is a tuber-forming climbing plant with heart-shaped leaves and underground tubers that can reach lengths of up to 2 metres. It is considered a staple food in many countries. It is very diverse, with around 800 Dioscorea species known worldwide. Dioscorea tubers have a nourishing effect and their flavour is similar to that of chestnuts.
Wild yam is made from yam root tubers. Our yam roots come from wild collection. Wild Yam has a particularly high glycoside diosgenin content of 66.4 mg per capsule.
The capsules with 415 mg yam powder have a diosgenin content of at least 16 % and are therefore highly dosed. Our wild yam in capsule form is easy to dose and convenient to take. Only two capsules are needed twice a day, taken with water.

Recommended dosage
