Vitamin C plus natural absorption enhancers
Vitamin C as isolated ascorbic acid only has a low bioavailability. Citrus bioflavonoids and rosehip have therefore been added to improve absorption. 50% of the bioflavonoids consist of hesperetin, a secondary plant substance that supports vitamin C in cell protection. It also contains natural vitamin C from the rose hip.
500mg ascorbic acid is the ideal daily dose if you want to take more. Both for a quick additional supply of vitamin C and for a long-term supply in the event of a generally increased requirement (physical exertion, smoking, constant stress, oral contraceptives).
Using only natural vitamin C, e.g. from acerola, would be very expensive. Fortifying L-ascorbic acid with natural vitamin C and bioflavonoids ensures that it is more likely to be absorbed naturally by the body than taking ascorbic acid in isolation.
