Active is more effective!

Most substances that we take in as vitamins must first be biochemically metabolised by the body before they can really take effect.

This can lead to problems:

• The body may not be able to convert a substance at all due to congenital deficiencies, as can be the case with folic acid, for example.
• The conversion takes time and energy, and the vitamin cannot act as quickly as if it had been ingested directly in the correct form.
• Losses can occur during the conversion, i.e. you don't have as much of the vitamin in your blood as was actually stated in the nutritional table.

It therefore makes more sense to take the vitamins in the form that the body really needs. Such vitamin products usually contain the suffix "active" for "already activated", meaning that nothing needs to be converted or only a minimal amount needs to be converted.

For optimum effect, it is recommended to take all B vitamins as a B complex, as they interact and depend on each other in many ways. If a high intake of a single B vitamin is desired, it is best to combine it with a B complex.

Vitamin B Complex Active contains a high dose of all B vitamins and related substances. Wherever possible, biologically active (coenzymatic) forms have been chosen. This applies to vitamin B2 (sodium riboflavin-5′-phosphate, R-5′-P), B6 (pyridoxal-5′-phosphate, 'P5P'), B12 (methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin, also known as dibencozide) and folate (5-methyltetrahydrofolate, 5-MTHF). This has the advantage that they do not have to be metabolised before they can be used as coenzymes in the metabolism. They are therefore the body's own forms and often also the forms in which B vitamins are found in food.

Vitamin B1 (thiamine HCl), vitamin B2 (sodium riboflavin 5'-phosphate), vitamin B3 (niacinamide), vitamin B5 (calcium D-pantothenate), vitamin B6 (pyridoxal 5'-phosphate), folate (5-MTHF glucosamine salt, Quatrefolic®), Vitamin B12 (50 % methylcobalamin, 50 % adenosylcobalamin), biotin, choline (bitartrate), vegetable capsule (pullulan, from fermented manioc starch), inositol, rice flour (Oryza sativa), PABA, anti-caking agent (calcium salts of fatty acids).

Recommended intake

Take 1 capsule per day with water with a meal.

This food supplement is not suitable for children up to and including 17 years of age (legally required information for products with more than 7 mcg vitamin B6 per daily dose).
