SuperVitamin K2, 20 ml = 166 daily portions

Schweizer Qualitätsprodukt, vegan, lactosefrei, milchfrei, frei von Magnesiumstearat

St. Helia Supervitamin K2 with bioactive menaquinone (MK 7)

Vitamin K2 from St. Helia is characterised by its very high bioavailability and is also completely vegan. The menaquinone MK 7 it contains is a form of vitamin K2 that is particularly well absorbed by the body. This effect is further enhanced by the combination with vitamin A

  • 100% active, utilisable vitamin K2 (MK 7)
  • Also contains vitamin A in the form of carotene and vitamin E from tocopherols and tocotrienols
  • Only 3 drops daily, provides a supply for 3 - 4 months

Vitamin K2 is ideal for use in combination with vitamin D3 to support bone growth. These two products from St Helia are of extremely high quality as they are made from pure natural raw materials.

Trans isomers - why are they important?
Even within menaquinone MK 7 there are differences in quality, the question is whether the ingredient used is MK with cis-trans isomers or with all-trans isomers. These isomers are molecules that differ significantly in their double bonds - and therefore in their biological activity.

  • All-trans isomers can activate the proteins osteocalcin and MGP as co-factors.
  • Cis-trans isomers are biologically inactive. They cannot be utilised by the body.

St. Helia Supervitamin K2 contains only the pure - biologically active - menaquinone MK 7 in the high-quality all-trans form.

Current information

Due to a change in production from 07/2024, the colour of the oil has changed considerably. This is not a quality problem and no cause for concern!
The background is as follows: Switzerland has had much stricter guidelines for food supplements since 2023.
Partly explainable, e.g. high doses of pure vitamin A are hazardous to health (e.g. at abnormally high dosages).e.g. in the case of abnormally high doses taken by technically unsuspecting customers), but also partly not entirely logical, e.g. extremely low authorisation values for zinc.
Since then, pure vitamin A has been banned for food supplements and only authorised in medicines. As a Swiss company, St. Helia must of course comply with this, even if this would not be a problem in Germany.
This is why the pure vitamin A in St. Helia Supervitamin K2 had to be replaced by natural carotene oil. This has the advantage that it cannot be overdosed. The body only produces as much vitamin A from the carotene as it actually needs, so vitamin A poisoning is not possible even in the case of an overdose.
There are very few disadvantages. For example, studies have shown that neurodermatitis reacts much better to pure vitamin A than to carotene. But this is not relevant for our products anyway, as we sell food supplements and not medicines.
Carotene oil from Dunaliella saline algae naturally has a completely different colour than the vitamin A palmitate used previously. Hence the extreme but harmless change in colour!
It also now contains sea buckthorn pulp oil, which again contributes a strong yellow colour. Pure vitamin A is deep red, sea buckthorn is an intense yellow-orange colour. We had complaints from customers who thought that the vitamin K bottle contained vitamin D (which is almost the same colour), which is of course nonsense, everything is fine!

Warning

People taking anticoagulant medication should seek medical advice before consuming food supplements containing vitamin K.

FAQ

What is the weight or volume of a drop?

For oils and aqueous solutions in dropper bottles or those with pipettes, drops are a popular and practical way of indicating quantities. Unfortunately, however, they are in fact very imprecise.

If you want or need to know the exact amount for dosing and planning your medication or food supplements:

A drop of water has approximately 0.05 ml or 0.05 g or 50 mg.

Oil has a different density and a different dripping behaviour than water. Therefore:

One drop of oil has approximately 0.04 ml or 0.35 g or 35 mg.

The aim of St. Helia is to combine ancient knowledge about vitamins, minerals and medicinal herbs with the latest science. The result is products that are of very high quality and purity, yet still reasonably priced.

What does manufacturer/marketer mean?

Every seller must indicate on the goods and also in the online shop the address of a responsible person established in the EU, usually this is the manufacturer.
In general, it does not matter which term you use, they are synonymous. The legislator prefers the term "distributor", but dealers usually use the more "handy" term "manufacturer".
However, it can happen that a non-EU manufacturer does not have a responsible person on EU territory. In that case, one has the choice of not offering such a good product at all or taking responsibility oneself, e.g. for service questions from customers. St. Helia does not have an address outside Switzerland, so we indicate ourselves as the distributor and are also responsible for any questions about the product.
