When spirulina is cultivated, the nutrient-rich spring water is enriched with the essential trace element zinc, which can be increasingly absorbed by the microalgae. Zinc is thus present in organically bound form and therefore optimally bioavailable for the body.

Children have a much lower zinc requirement than adults.
Many food supplements have a very high zinc content, but unfortunately often lack the label "unsuitable for children", which is rightly criticised by government agencies and e.g. Stiftung Warentest.
Spirulina zinc not only has the advantage that it is very easy to dose, as one pellet only contains 1 mg of zinc.
It is also more favourable from a psychological point of view, as children associate an algae tablet less with "medicine" than capsules can also be easily crushed again in a mortar, as they are nothing more than pressed powder, i.e. without the addition of binding agents or coatings.
