Betaine and enzymes for the stomach
A high-protein diet is part of many diets. However, before you can benefit from the positive properties of proteins, they need to be absorbed by the intestines. The digestive enzyme pepsin ensures that proteins are broken down into their smaller components, the amino acids, and can therefore be more easily absorbed by the intestine. As it works best in an acidic environment, it harmonises perfectly with gastric juice, which is also acidic.

By adding betaine, Natur Vital Pepsin plus Betaine offers an effective combination to support healthy digestion. In its acidic form, bound to hydrochloride, betaine HCL supports the acidity of the gastric juice and creates ideal conditions for the action of pepsin.
