Size M - medium-sized dogs

Doctor Bark dog bed 3.0 - the completely new design and integration of an orthopaedic insert cushion guarantees a unique feel-good experience. The difference in height between the lying surface and the border varies depending on the size of the bed. This means that the edge acts like a pillow and consequently the spine is straight when resting and sleeping. This ensures healthy sleep.

The dog bed is completely washable at 95˚C, not just the cover, as is the case with standard dog mats. This guarantees absolute freedom from bacteria and mites after every wash! Outer fabric:

• Cotton blend fabric, long-staple cotton.
  As a rule, manufacturers use short and medium staple cotton, long staple cotton is only used for the finest and highest quality textiles.
• Only fabrics produced in the EU are used and the cotton content is certified according to GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard).
• UV-resistant, 300g/sqm fabric weight, Dry-Fit-Comfort, free of harmful substances according to Ökotex 100 (test no. 08-6223 Shirley).

WASHING and CARE

As the pillow and outer bed can be separated, it may not always be necessary to wash the entire bed. This can be decided individually according to the dog's needs, e.g. whether or not it is a severe allergy sufferer.
You can also use Doctor Bark cosy blankets (also washable in the boil wash) as an additional insert and change them more often.

According to the manufacturer, a washing machine with a capacity of 5 kg is sufficient for sizes S and M, and one with a capacity of 7 kg is required for larger sizes.
We recommend using a slightly larger machine if necessary, as our tests have shown that this is a little tight. Or according to the manufacturer's specifications, it will certainly work, but if you are planning to buy a new machine anyway, it may make sense to choose a slightly larger one. There are now also inexpensive machines with a 7, 8 or 9 kg capacity.

Procedure:

Preparation

Shake out hair and coarse dirt, possibly with the help of a hoover. This is also to protect the washing machine. If necessary, pre-treat stubborn stains with a stain spray or microfibre cloth. Turn dog beds inside out so that the inner corners are turned outwards and the coarse dirt hidden there can be washed out easily.

Washing

When using a conventional mild detergent, follow the manufacturer's dosage instructions. Make sure that it does not contain any fabric softener or silicone remover, as this could damage the bed. If you cannot say for sure, it is better to use Doctor Bark Textile Wash & Care Detergent to ensure that the bed is optimally cared for and not damaged.
Pour 50 ml of this detergent into the detergent chamber.

To ensure that the filling of the Doctor Bark dog bed has its full volume again after washing, we recommend adding wash balls or normal tennis balls.

Select the basic setting "gentle cycle" with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm.

Drying

Gently shake out your Doctor Bark dog bed. Then place the dog bed in the tumble dryer together with the wash or tennis balls. Select the "gentle drying" setting.

The Doctor Bark dog bed will of course also dry without a tumble dryer. For air drying, choose a warm and well-ventilated place so that your dog bed is dry again within 3-4 hours. Shake your dog bed surface well several times during the air-drying process and keep pulling it slightly into shape.

Important note from EnergyVital

The beds are extremely large, we have already had returns or exchanges because of this. So please take note! Our company mascot Bella (Lagotto Romagnolo, 14 kg) has a size M bed, which feels like an L and is luxuriously large for her!
However, the cosy blankets are rather small. If you would like a 95 degree washable cosy blanket to go with the bed, we recommend a blanket that is as large as possible.
