Omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA
Microalgae are the original source of the two important omega-3 fatty acids DHA (docosaenhexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
The algae serve as food for cold-water fish and therefore contain a considerable amount of these vital fatty acids. The DGE recommends two fish meals a week.
Natur Vital Omega-3 PrOtect contains microalgae oil as a source of the vital fatty acids DHA and EPA. It also contains the vitaminoid coenzyme Q10 and astaxanthin, a natural antioxidant. It also contains rosemary, oregano and grape seed oil.
Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels.
