Omega-3 fatty acids are mainly found in sea fish and are a key reason why fish is considered so healthy. As essential fatty acids, omega-3 must be ingested through food. The supply of omega-3 is of great importance for our well-being and development, even for the foetus and into old age (see nutritional properties).
WOSCHA Omega 3 - strictly controlled quality
WOSCHA Omega 3 contains both the omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), as well as vitamin E for optimised shelf life. The fatty acids are obtained from the high-quality NOW fish oil concentrate. Production is carried out under the strictest controls to ensure outstanding quality.
Nutritive properties
- DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and to the maintenance of normal vision (these positive effects occur with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA)
- EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function (these positive effects occur with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA + EPA)
- Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels
