Beta Carotene Plus: The 4 best carotenoids for normal vision and skin.
Carotenoids belong to the secondary plant substances and are responsible for the red to yellow coloration of plant parts and fruits (e.g. tomatoes, carrots, eggplants). But also many dark vegetable species, above all our native kale, contain many carotenoids.
Beta carotene (provitamin A) is a valuable vitamin A source. This vitamin is very important for our skin and eyes. The other carotenoids are detectable in the retina of the eye, with lutein and zeaxanthin being particularly highly concentrated in the yellow spot (the site of sharpest vision).

WOSCHA Beta Carotene Plus: particularly effective carotenoids with high bioavailability
WOSCHA Beta Carotene capsules contain carotenoids obtained in highly concentrated form from plants. These include an algae concentrate (beta carotene), tomato extract (lycopene) and marigold extract (zeaxanthin, lutein). Compared with synthetic carotenoid compounds, these natural carotenoids act much more effectively because they complement and enhance each other.
Piperine from black pepper extract increases the bioavailability of carotenoids by up to 60%. And the addition of vitamin E (from sunflower) supports the fight against free radicals with its antioxidant properties. All cells in our body benefit from this, but especially the skin, eyes and blood vessels.
Carotenoids to maintain normal vision
Beta carotene (= provitamin A) is the most important source of vitamin A for our body. Vitamin A contributes to the maintenance of normal vision and supports sharp vision as well as the normal moisture balance of the eyes. It also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and plays a role in cell differentiation of epithelial cells.

Manufacturer's instructions
- Not suitable for children up to and including 3 years of age. Contains salicylic acid (tomato).
- Beta Carotene may have a negative effect on smokers. The study situation is unclear here. Therefore, smokers are recommended not to take more than 20 mg beta carotene per day.
- Pregnant and nursing women should not exceed a daily intake of 9 mg beta carotene.
