Milk thistle has been known as an important medicinal plant for centuries. It was said to have a cleansing effect and to stimulate bile production. It is also known today as "milk thistle" due to the white liquid that is released when the leaves are cut. As the herb of the plant is used in Natur Vital Milk Thistle, other important plant substances (flavonoids) are also found in addition to the active ingredient complex silymarin.
