500 mg pure tryptophan per vegan capsule
L-tryptophan, the body's own hormone, is responsible for the transmission of various stimuli between nerves and is crucial for mental well-being, social behaviour and mood. It is a natural mood enhancer and contributes to relaxation and calming.
By increasing serotonin levels, L-tryptophan also reduces cravings for sweets in some people and can therefore be a good help when dieting.
The essential amino acid tryptophan has many important functions in the body:
- Important building material in protein synthesis
- Precursor of the neurotransmitter and hormone serotonin
- Starting material for vitamin B3 production
- Precursor of the sleep hormone melatonin
