L-carnitine - what is it actually?
L-carnitine is an amino acid that is mainly found in meat. In our body, L-carnitine is mainly found in the muscles. There it is responsible for transporting long fatty acids into the mitochondria. L-carnitine can be produced from the amino acids lysine and methionine. When we get into stressful situations, the body needs particularly high levels of lysine and methionine. In turn, L-carnitine production suffers as a result.
WOSCHA L-carnitine is characterised by its outstanding quality, using highly pure L-Carnipure®-Tartra . Manufactured by the Swiss company Lonza, it is the only product on the market to contain the L-isomer of carnitine. This is exactly how it occurs in nature! Natural carnitine can be better absorbed by the body and thus ensures optimum bioavailability.
L-Carnipure Plus also contains vitamin C and chromium. Vitamin C contributes to a normal energy metabolism and chromium to a normal metabolism of macronutrients.
