Obtained from the nuts of the jojoba plant (Simmondsia chinensis) by gentle cold pressing, BioPräp's oil contains exceptionally high-quality plant fatty acids, making it an intensively nourishing skin oil for all skin types. The quality is characterised by its exceptional stability and natural golden yellow colour. Jojoba oil can be easily massaged into the skin, is quickly absorbed and has a neutral odour. This wonderful base oil can be easily mixed with fatty or essential oils and is very suitable for refining cosmetics.

What is jojoba oil used for?

Chemically speaking, jojoba oil is not actually an oil, but a wax. It is particularly well tolerated by the skin and has a more pleasant consistency, especially for massages.
Thanks to its special composition, jojoba oil moisturises without having a greasy effect. The oil is particularly beneficial for dry and sensitive, itchy skin. The oil can also be used to reduce stretch marks, scars and calluses.

• Hands after heavy use, e.g. by chem. substances, soap, etc.
• Scaly patches of skin

Shelf life of shea butter

Jojoba oil has a shelf life of at least 3 years. However, it should be protected from constant exposure to light. As jojoba oil also has a very long shelf life, it can be mixed with other oils and fats such as shea butter (approx. 20 %) without reducing the shelf life. It also makes shea butter even more supple.

Application

Apply to the skin or mix with other ingredients such as evening primrose oil or borage oil to make creams.
