For recording and assessing the entire intestinal microbiome
The intestinal microbiome refers to the totality of microorganisms present in the gut. This has a decisive effect on a person's well-being and health. If there is an imbalance in the intestinal microbiome, this can - as numerous studies have shown - be associated with various diseases. These include, for example, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, bowel cancer, calcium oxalate urinary stones, cardiovascular diseases, rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders.
The intestinal microbiome is analysed using DNA sequencing (next-generation sequencing). This makes it possible to recognise almost all known bacteria. Using DNA sequencing, the effects of the individual, highly complex microbiota on colonisation resistance, digestive processes, absorption of nutrients and vitamins as well as immunity can be assessed more precisely. This test procedure is molecular-biological, which means that even anaerobic bacteria that cannot be cultured can be detected at the highest technical level.
This test also contains the parameters of the Intestinal Health Check including zonulin in faeces. The Intestinal Health Check includes the examination of the flora status, the assessment of digestive performance and capacity as well as the condition and function of the intestinal mucosa and the intestine-associated immune system.
The molecular genetic examination includes
- Analysis of the biodiversity of the intestinal microbiome (diversity)
- Statement on the bacterial dysbiosis
- Determination of the enterotype
- Frequency distribution of the most important bacterial strains
- Determination of the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio
- Assessment of the mucosaprotective flora
- Analysis of risk factors for dysbiosis-associated diseases
The microbiological examination includes the analysis of the following parameters:
- Analysis of aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms
- Mould fungi
- yeasts (Candida albicans and Candida spp.)
- Quantitative analysis for digestive residues
- α-1-antitrypsin
- calprotectin
- bile acids
- pancreatic elastase
- secretory IgA
- Zonulin in faeces
How does the ordering process work?
The link"To the article" will take you to the manufacturer's website where you can purchase the product. After your order, Medivere will send you the desired test pack with detailed instructions. You place your sample in a tube and send it in a prepared envelope to Medivere's partner laboratory, GANZIMMUN DIAGNOSTICS AG. You will receive a report with the evaluation of your profile after approx. 14 working days.

Sensible nutritional supplements after a sensible analysis!
Vitamins and minerals can best be dosed if you know exactly what your supply or deficiency of a nutrient is. Our customers can now take this into their own hands with the test kits from Medivere! Buying directly from Medivere has the advantage that you always get the freshest set (even test sets have a best before date, after which they are unusable). It also makes more sense than buying through our shop, as you have direct contact with Medivere and the test laboratory. Therefore, we only act as an intermediary here, for this advertising with the link"To the article" we receive a remuneration from Medivere. As a thank you, we will send you a 5% voucher for your next purchase (please request this by email, Medivere does not automatically inform us of this).
