Frankincense with ginger and vitamin E
Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) grows mainly in the dry mountain regions of north-east India andcontains the beneficial and health-promoting boswellic acids. These can contribute to supporting the body's own metabolic processes in the intestines and joints, for example.
There are references to the use of frankincense (Boswellia serrata) as early as three and a half thousand years ago in Egyptian writings. Three thousand years ago, there were already established trade routes, the so-called frankincense routes, which brought the precious resin from Somalia and Ethiopia on the one hand and from India and the countries on the Red Sea to Egypt and Mesopotamia on the other.
Hippocrates and Hildegard von Bingen also recognised the benefits of frankincense. St Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179) developed important guidelines for a healthy lifestyle and diet.
