Innovative 4-fold formula for growth, development, haematopoiesis and the nervous system
Active folic acid (folate) is a vital vitamin. It is very important for our physical and mental well-being as well as for growth and cell division. Pregnant women in particular need the B vitamin to ensure that their unborn child develops well. Smokers and chronically ill people also have an increased requirement.
Unfortunately, folate deficiency is widespread in our society. We have difficulty absorbing the vitamin from our food because a large proportion (75%) is indigestible. 60-95% is also lost through the preparation of food, which means that at best we can only utilise 40% of the folate we consume.
This combination preparation is particularly suitable for compensating for a folate deficiency because it also contains vitamins B6 and B12.
This combination preparation contains only the patented Quatrefolic®. It is the highest quality folate on the market and has the highest bioavailability of all forms of folic acid. Unlike folic acid, it is already metabolically active and can be utilised by our metabolism immediately and without further conversion steps. Quatrefolic®therefore works much faster and more effectively than typical folic acid supplements.
Vitamin B6 as pyridoxal-5-phosphate is up to 10 times more effective than simple pyridoxine because it is metabolised directly in the liver without any conversion processes. This is of particular benefit to the 20% of the population who absorb vitamin B6 from food only poorly or not at all or are unable to metabolise it into its biologically active form (e.g. in the case of zinc deficiency).
Vitamin B12 is contained in its natural, bioactive forms methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin because they have different functions in our body:
Methylcobalamin is the most common form of vitamin B12 in the blood and brain. It is involved in the reactivation of folate, helps to break down homocysteine and is a building block of S-adenosylmethionine (SAM), which regulates the formation of neurotransmitters, for example.
Adenosylcobalamin, on the other hand, is mainly found in the tissues and is important for energy production. It is involved in the formation of important amino acids and hormones.
Nutritive properties
- Folate contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy and to normal amino acid synthesis. It has a function in cell division.
- Folate contributes to normal haematopoiesis and normal homocysteine metabolism.
- Folate contributes to normal mental function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Vitamin B12 contributes to normal energy metabolism and has a function in cell division
- Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system and to normal mental function
- Vitamin B12 and folic acid contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism and help to reduce tiredness and fatigue
- Vitamin B12 and vitamin B6 contribute to the normal formation of red blood cells and, like folic acid, contribute to the normal function of the immune system
- Vitamin B6 contributes to normal cysteine synthesis and normal energy metabolism.
- Vitamin B6 contributes to the normal function of the nervous system, to normal psychological function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
- Vitamin B6 contributes to normal homocysteine metabolism and to normal protein and glycogen metabolism.
- Vitamin B6 contributes Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.

High-quality formulations from the Netherlands
podo medi's products are significantly influenced by the naturopathic experience of its co-founder Wolfgang P. Schallmey. As a naturopath and expert in orthemolecular therapy, he created his own brand WOSCHA nutritional supplements, which are based on years of experience and a holistic philosophy. In addition to high quality, effectiveness and good tolerability, WOSCHA products are characterised by a lack of additives, which are added in other preparations for cheaper production. WOSCHA products are made from fresh and genetically unmodified raw materials and are available in their purest form. In addition, podo medi pays attention to sustainable packaging and shipping. For example, the product cans are made of harmless PET and recyclable material. Woscha and natura felix are brands of Podomedi.
