With at least 9% essential gamma-linolenic acid
Naturally pure evening primrose oil from the seed of the evening primrose (Oenothera biennis L.) contains the essential linoleic acid and at least 9% gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). This makes evening primrose oil one of the best in terms of GLA content compared to other vegetable oils.
Essential fatty acids must be supplied in sufficient quantities daily with food because they cannot be produced by the body itself. The addition of natural vitamin E protects the sensitive fatty acids from oxidation.
