Borage oil with valuable fatty acids
Borage oil is considered a valuable and above all natural source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. This is mainly thanks to the gamma-linoleic acid it contains. Consuming borage oil is particularly beneficial as the body cannot produce unsaturated fatty acids itself, but needs them.
Better than evening primrose oil
Borage oil has many benefits for the body. It is used in similar areas to evening primrose oil, but has even greater benefits than evening primrose oil due to its particularly high content of unsaturated fatty acids.
This is why Natur Vital has now replaced its evening primrose oil capsules with capsules containing borage oil.
Production of borage oil in vegan capsules, free from gelatine
Borage oil is obtained by cold pressing from the eponymous plant Borago officinalis (borage plant). The new Natur Vital borage oil is now also suitable for vegans, as it is no longer processed in the gelatine capsules that were previously used for such products!
Nutritive properties
- Replacing saturated fatty acids with monounsaturated and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels
- ALA contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (the positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g ALA)
